A Different Kind of Networking Group

Jenni ProkopyIn 2004, Jenni was lonely. It’s not easy to go from a bustling office to a quiet freelance work-from-home life! She founded ideaXchange Chicago, a small networking group for local independent creatives…and over the years, it has grown to more than 70 members.

The membership is active, participating in monthly meetings, chatting daily on email, and partnering on projects. ideaXchange Chicago members work together to find solutions to common problems, refer their favorite local vendors, join forces on client work, plan events and much more. The Chicago Tribune even profiled Jenni (and the group) as an example of how small networking groups can be priceless resources.

In addition to monthly meetings and daily email conversations, the group maintains a blog where members post entries about resources, events and successes. Check out the ideaXchange Chicago blog and join the conversation.
